Assessment feedback is an aspect of feedback to which facilitators should commit particular attention. When providing assessment feedback be sure to:

• Communicate clearly
  
• Be thorough
  
• Seek to help students improve
  
• Reinforce course objectives

In addition, students will be best served when the instructor:

• Clearly outlines expectations and evaluation criteria
  
• Focuses on 3 main points and assures an equal amount of feedback per student
  
• Communicates general assessment feedback to the entire class when appropriate

Regardless of the techniques, no student should ever be more than 1 week from their next assessment. Facilitators should make a point of giving useful feedback in frequent and useful intervals.
