Dinner in the Air: Is It Worth It? Find Out How Much It Costs and What to Expect!
A few days ago, I saw a friend post about this “Dinner in the Air” thing. It looked so cool, eating way up high. So, I did a bit of digging and found out they were setting it up near my city. I immediately thought, “I gotta try this!”
I went to the ticket site, and man, it was not cheap. But hey, when else would I get to eat dinner floating in the sky? I booked a spot for the weekend. I told my wife about it, and she thought I was nuts but also kind of excited. I think she’s still not sure about it, but I’m already in for the adventure.
The day came, and we drove to the location. It was this big open field, and in the middle, there was a huge crane with a table hanging from it. Seeing it in person was wild. We checked in, and they gave us a safety briefing. They told us to listen to the staff, follow the instructions, and make sure to wear the safety belt at all times. Then they strapped us into these racing-style seats around a big table.
Slowly, they started lifting us up. The view got better and better as we went higher. It was a bit scary at first, but also really awesome. We were so high up, we could see the whole city. They had a chef up there with us, and they started serving the food. I don’t know if it was the height or what, but everything tasted amazing. I had some sort of grilled salmon, and it was probably the best salmon I’ve ever had. Then some dessert that’s like a chocolate mousse.

We were up there for about an hour, just eating, chatting, and taking in the view. The staff were super friendly, making sure everyone was comfortable. They even took photos for us. It felt like a dream, honestly.
Coming down was a bit sad, but it was also kind of a relief. My legs were a little shaky when we got off. It’s definitely one of those things you only do once, but I’m so glad I did it. If you ever get the chance, I’d say go for it. It’s a bit pricey, but the experience is totally worth it.
