Your first delivery order is free.” I mean, free delivery? Who can say no to that? So I created an account on Instacart and picked out some mochi from the freezer section and some other desserts. The ad was right, the first delivery was free, so that was a nice little bonus. The confirmation page said “Each of these were a little dessert,” and I was like, “Yep, that’s the plan!”
After that, I decided to try another grocery delivery service. I saw another ad that was pretty much the same: “ShopRite same-day delivery in as fast as 1 hour with Instacart. Your first delivery order is free.” I thought, “Why not?” and signed up for that one too. Ordered a few more random desserts, just for the heck of it. Again, the first delivery was free, so that’s always a plus.
