Okay, so, I tried to make edible glitter drinks. I saw this thing online, and it looked pretty cool. Gotta have some fun, right?
First, I gathered all the stuff I needed. Basically, it was just some edible glitter, which I found at a baking supply store, and some clear drinks. I picked up some Sprite and some sparkling water ’cause I figured they’d show off the glitter the best. Also, ice, ’cause, you know, cold drinks.

Then, I started experimenting. I filled the glasses with ice, then poured in the drinks. It was time for the main event.
Adding the Glitter
I sprinkled in a bit of the edible glitter. I used a few different colors just to see what would look good. Some colors definitely showed up better than others. The lighter colors, like silver and gold, looked way cooler than the darker ones. And I noticed that too much glitter just made the drink look murky. Gotta find that sweet spot, you know?
Next, I gave it a good stir. The glitter swirled around all pretty-like, but it settled to the bottom pretty fast. So, I had to keep stirring it every few sips. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying.
The Taste Test
Honestly, it didn’t really change the taste of the drinks. I mean, it’s just glitter, right? But it definitely made them more fun to look at. It felt like a party in my mouth, visually, without the weird aftertastes of other stuff. I tried the Sprite and the sparkling water. Both were good, but I think I liked the Sprite better. The bubbles seemed to make the glitter move around more.
In the end, it was a fun little experiment. Would I do it again? Maybe, for a party or something. It’s a nice touch to make drinks look a little fancier. I think kids would get a kick out of it too. Just be prepared to keep stirring!
Overall, it was a success, I guess. Nothing blew up, and I got some sparkly drinks out of it. Plus, my kitchen looked like a unicorn threw up in it for a while, which was kind of amusing.
